Nell’album “Ustuqus-al-Uss” sono stato in qualche modo incline al fusion e alla strumentazione classica. Penso che la “miscela” orientale domini ancora, per esempio come in “Ustuqus-al-Uss-al-Avvalin-val-Akharin”, che ritengo la canzone più progressiva che io abbia mai composto (il secondo accattivante assolo di chitarra è eseguito da Pouyan). Alcune canzoni sono estremamente personali, come “Naught been I thou”, che è un brano in stile jazz fuori tempo con insoliti elementi dance… Queste canzoni sono le mie più profonde paure e speranze – a un punto tale da lasciarmi muto e non farmi esprimere a parole. Ed è così che le parole diventano suoni strumentali…
